So?.....what are the typical type of customers that use this service? Please see a couple of examples listed below:
“Customer A” has a food based packaging company close to our site in St Helens and has little room for the storage of products required for the manufacture of its products and often needs access to them in a short lead time to keep the manufacturing lines running. To assist this customer we intake goods often in full loads from Europe and store in our warehouses, as the goods are used in the production of food it is essential that the warehouse used is to BRC standards. We have an agreement with the customer that we will upon receipt of an order – Pick, load and deliver to the manufacturing facility within 3 hours of placing the request via our own fleet of vehicles
“Customer B” has a food import business based in London and distributes various food products around the country from their base. They realised some time ago that a large proportion of the deliveries they made were to the North West area of the UK and they were running out of storage space to store their products. After extensive analysis the containers that they manually unloaded in London that were packed onto pallets and then sent to RDCS in the North West are sent directly into our site and unloaded, stored and delivered to the RDC. This method of operation has freed up vital storage space at their main site for expansion, taken over 80,000 trucking miles off UK Roads and saved them in excess of £100,000.00 in transport costs.
Our location is situated in the centre of a vast array of supermarket RDC’s so dispatching freight from our based really does reduce stem mileage and save precious carbon emissions from the UK Roads!
