Container Devanning

Upon receipt of your goods at our BRC AA accredited warehousing facility, the unloading process will begin. This takes care, experience, and professionalism to be done correctly.

Our experienced team will understand the safety issues, and any problems that a particular cargo may present. This will enable them to carry out the whole procedure in as efficient and safe a manner as possible.

We use counter-balance forklifts, dock-level unloading, and handballing of goods into individual pallets and containers to ensure the job is done correctly. Our facility in St Helens has dedicated container ramps to help with offloading

Warehouse Management System

At the heart of a smooth logistics operation is an intelligent, and user-friendly warehouse management system. At SSO Logistics we have a bespoke, cloud-based system, that fully-integrates the receipt, tracking and dispatch process. It allows for the visibility of the client’s whole inventory and its correct storage. It also allows for full traceability and enables storage by Best Before Date (BBD).

Fully customisable, it’s able to be adapted to the specific needs of each individual client, with detailed delivery notes created to make everything ready for dispatch.

Onwards delivery

When we receive notification of an order via our warehouse management system, the goods are then made ready for dispatch. At SSO Logistics, we’re part of the Road Haulage Association (RHA),  are FORS Accredited and have our own fleet of vehicles to handle deliveries.

We’re also part of the Pallet Track Network , for small palletised orders. Being a member of Pallet Track gives us the ability to collect at a National & European level, with the advantage of 90 depots of local knowledge.

Whatever the size of the order, it will be handled with due care and attention, and will be on the road to its final destination in no time at all.

BRC Accreditation

The  40,000 sq foot warehousing facility warehousing facility at SSO Logistics is BRC AA Accredited.  This means that our services have reached the strict criteria set for the storage and distribution of food and food-related packaging within the industry. It guarantees compliance with all the necessary food safety and hygiene standards for our customers.

BRC Accreditation, when it’s applied to storage, gives you confidence that product integrity will be maintained throughout the transportation, handling, storage, and distribution process. BRC Accredited Storage is essential for anyone importing or exporting food and drink, so rest assured, we have this covered.

Our warehousing facility is located at the heart of the North West motorway network. We’re also right in the middle of a large number of supermarket RDCs. This location enables us to deliver speedily across a wide area of the country, and beyond.
